Email Notification for an Alert is Missing Virtual Machine Tags

Issue/Introduction

When using a custom payload template to send alerts via email, the template contains the Summary > vSphere Tags object content. The alert gets generated and is emailed but the virtual machine tags are showing as empty.

Example:

Tags List : VM_name = [, , , , , , ]

You have verified that vSphere tags are being collected fine in Aria Operations. See Additional Information below.

Aria Operations 8.x

Cause

When an ancestor object is selected from a different adapter (e.g., selecting a Virtual Machine object as an ancestor for an NSX object), the tag list does not populate as expected.

Resolution

This is a known bug affecting Aria Operations 8.x and will be addressed in a future product release.
