Policy Server log showing error "Connection not open"

We are getting this message in smps.log: 

[CSmDbUtilities.cpp:567][ERROR][sm-Odbc-00070] Error Code is 0 message is 'State = 08003 Internal Code = 0 - [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Connection not open'. 

We are not using SQL User Store (IDM / SiteMinder intergration - Dir For Example:USRIDMDIR) and this can be deleted. It is not configured, the description says "DO NOT REMOVE - For use by Identity Manager". 

It cannot be deleted with the WAMUI. How can it be deleted?



First step check in the Identity manager console if this is the right (user directory - USRIDMDIR) which is not being used.

Try deleting that (USRIDMDIR) from Identity Manager admin console. Then try deleting that from WAMUI. If that does not work or fails to delete.


Additional Information:



Open XPSExplorer locate the IMSUSERDIRECTORY (example:for 130) and list it check the directory if this is listed enter the name and then delete.

Once this above step is done come out of XPSExplorer,then recycle the policy server. services.
