Issue/Introduction

What is the procedure for renewing vCenter License/Certificate with CB Workload Appliance enabled.

Environment

- Workload: All supported versions
- Carbon Black Cloud Console: All Versions
- Endpoint Standard Sensor: All Versions

Cause

Not to have any impact while renewing the license/certificate when CB Workload Appliance is enabled.

Resolution

A] Please use the below Lookup Service Doctor KB article and ensure there is no vCenter certificate failure.

B] Un-register and Register vCenter :

From your browser, log in to the Carbon Black Cloud Workload Appliance at https://<appliance IP address> using admin credentials.
Unregister vCenter.
Unregister SSO.
Register SSO.
Register vCenter.
Perform registration of SSO and VC using Register the Carbon Black Cloud Workload Appliance with On-Premises vCenter Server

Register the Carbon Black Cloud Workload Appliance with On-Premises vCenter Server

Additional Information

The Sequence of Unregister and Register to be followed in appliance is as below: 

Unregister vCenter - Unregister SSO- Register SSO- Register vCenter.
