Issue/Introduction

We are currently upgrading Identity Manager 14.5 to SP1.

Regarding the Provisioning Manager, we have merged the bin, data, and help folders with those provided in SP1. However, after the merge, the Provisioning Manager is unable to connect to the Provisioning Server.

We observed "Unable to open. Please check your information, including the domain name and your authentication details" error on provisioning manager screen when trying to login.

Environment

Release : 14.5
Component : CA Identity Manager

Resolution

To get the Provisioning Manager working again, ETPKI should be installed / updated on remote Identity Manager Provisioning Manager host.

From the "IMPS-1451-Instructions_On_How_To_Deploy.pdf" file you will find the instruction to install / update the ETPKI such as

NOTE: For windows install "etpki" from the patch "ETPKI-1451.tar.gz"
provided. Follow the "ETPKI-1451-Instructions_On_How_To_Deploy.pdf" on how to install "etpki" on windows.

After running the ETPKI installer command as below, the provisioning manager worked fine.

setup.exe install caller=IMPSMANAGER verbose
