Issue/Introduction

Summary:

This poller error means that the MTF assigned to a specific element upon discovery has been corrupted and can no longer be identified.

Pgm nhiPoller[Net]: Error reading (possibly missing) MTF '$NH_HOME/poller/mmm-mmm-mmm-mmm.mtf', corresponding elements cannot be polled.

Environment:

eHealth (all supported versions)
All supported platforms

Instructions:

  1. Open a command prompt on the eHealth server
  2. Run the following commands to collect the elements that match the targeted MTFs:
    nhListElements -where "mibTranslationFile matches cisco-cat-mib2-enet-hd-v2c-hs-IF-20.mtf"
    nhListElements -where "mibTranslationFile matches mib2-nu-v2c-hs-IF-20.mtf"
  3. Rediscover the elements listed so eHealth can assign new MTF to it. There are two easy ways for doing this:
    * In OneClick go to Element Configuration > Resource Discovery > Discover and do a discovery by adding the list of IP Addresses of elements listed.
    * In OneClick go to Managed Resources > Elements > find the parent element of elements listed and right click it and select "re-discover".

If the issue persists after applying the steps above, you may have an element that no longer exists on a device. eHealth is trying to poll it but erriorng out since it can no longer poll the element. Please run the commands below and determine which elements listed are no longer useful in your configuration and remove them by deleting them.

nhListElements -where "mibTranslationFile matches cisco-cat-mib2-enet-hd-v2c-hs-IF-20.mtf"

nhListElements -where "mibTranslationFile matches mib2-nu-v2c-hs-IF-20.mtf"

Let the polling cycle complete several times and the issue should be gone.
