The Web UI of Chargeback cannot be accessed

Issue/Introduction

The tenant-app-ui container fails to start normally and restarts repeatedly.

The "docker logs" command displays "Permission denied".

/etc/vmware/bin/startup.sh: line 22: /etc/nginx/nginx.conf: Permission denied

Environment

VMware Chargeback 8.16

Cause

The permissions of the docker image "vmware/vrops-vcd-tenant-app-ui" are corrupted.

Resolution

1.Stop and delete the current tenant-app-ui container.

• docker stop tenant-app-ui
• docker rm tenant-app-ui

2.Delete the docker image "vmware/vrops-vcd-tenant-app-ui".

• docker rmi vmware/vrops-vcd-tenant-app-ui:latest
• docker rmi vmware/vrops-vcd-tenant-app-ui:8.16.0-23264269

3.Reload the docker image "vmware/vrops-vcd-tenant-app-ui" and restart the tenant-app-ui container.

• source /opt/vmware/va/config/common.sh
• load_tenant_app_ui_image
• export vrops_host=vrops.example.com
• start_ui_container
