Issue/Introduction

 Running Top Secret TSSUTIL to report all events for a given ACID and trying to understand what R-ACCESS of ALTER means.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Resolution

ALTER is a RACF access. The TSS equivalent access to ALTER is ALL, or a combination of CONTROL+SCRATCH+CREATE. 

The ALTER call is an IBM restriction. 

Access of CONTROL,CREATE,SCRATCH, matches the ALTER bit setting.
