Issue/Introduction

While using the Smart/Restart Job Control menu where MVS commands are able to be issued, users are seeing access issues while issuing the commands below. How to provide access?

CAN, FOR, QUI, RES, SUS

Active Smart/RESTART job only

Cause

The TSO/E user ID that runs Smart/MONITOR is not authorized to cancel MVS jobs as per the ACF2 ACF04056 message.

Resolution

Contact the site ACF2 security administrator to permit access to the resource named in the ACF2 message for the TSO/E user ID that runs Smart/MONITOR to issue the commands.
