Aria Operations for Logs admin account becomes locked after unlocking the account.

Issue/Introduction

After unlocking the Admin account for Aria Operations from Logs, it locks again immediately.

Symptoms include;

• Aria Operations from Logs becomes disconnected in SDDC manager.
• The Aria Operations for Logs adapter in Aria Operations shows a collection error.

Environment

Aria Operations for Logs 8.x

Cause

The admin account is used to configure Aria Operations for Logs. 

The admin password was changed either in LCM or SDDC, which doesn't update the password used to configure adapters.

Combined, these issues lead to the admin account of Aria Operaitons for Logs to become locked.

Resolution

Update the password on the Aria Operations adapter
