Unable to reinstall the Spectrum processd Service

Issue/Introduction

Unable to reinstall the Spectrum processd service on Windows. The following error is seen:

"Requesting installation of service: "SPECTRUM Process Daemon 
"Error: Failure opening security policy -1073741790 CreateService error: 
installation failed: this service isn't currently installed".

Environment

Release: All Supported Releases
Component: SPCCSS - SpectroSERVER Core

Cause

This issue is known to happen when UAC is enabled on the User account running the processd --install command.

Resolution

Disable UAC for the account you are using, reboot the server and then try running the processd --install command again.
