Users may notice that Workload Automation Agent may go inactive intermittently. The jobs will then fail if the agent is not reachable or is inactive.

Some cloud services may suspend or put VM's on hibernate mode. This may be done as part of business decisions to save costs, e.g putting VM on hibernation on weekends.
When a VM / machine is suspended, the services will stop responding. The WA Agent and manager will no longer be able to communicate with each other. In dSeries, the agent will then show as Inactive in the agent inventory / topology. To prevent this from happening, consult the Admin to keep the VM from becoming unresponsive.
