Issue/Introduction

Users may encounter deployment issues when attempting to deploy VMware Aria Suite products in VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle (VCF mode) in version 5.2.1.

Specifically, the following errors are observed:

  1. Aria Suite Lifecycle Binary Mapping Error: Unable to import binary files of VMware Aria Automation 8.18. The error message displayed is : LCMSOURCEMAPPING10018.

  2. VMware Identity Manager Environment Creation Error: When attempting to create environment for VMware Identity Manager 3.3.7, the error message "No content found corresponding to SDDC Manager version 5.2.1 This could be due to version incompatibility between VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle and SDDC Manager."

Environment

VCF Version: 5.2.1

VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle Version: 8.18 (Deployed via SDDC Manager)

VMware Aria Automation 8.x

VMware Identity Manager 3.3.7

Cause

The root cause of the issue is that the correct Product Support Pack in VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle was not applied.

Resolution

To resolve these issues, it is recommended to update the Product Support Pack in VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle to PSPACK3. This update ensures compatibility between VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle and SDDC Manager 5.2.1, resolving both issues:

  1. The correct binaries are mapped, allowing Aria Automation 8.18 to be imported without encountering the LCMSOURCEMAPPING10018 error.
  2. The updated PSPACK resolves the version mismatch, enabling successful creation of environment for VMware Identity Manager 3.3.7.

After updating to PSPACK3, both issues will be resolved, and users will be able to deploy Aria Suite successfully via VCF 5.2.1.
