Issue/Introduction

The following messages are observed in Endevor 19. How to fix them?

BC1PFRS1 Product Registration Error RC=0040 RS=0004
BC1PFRS1 Product Registration Error RC=0016 RS=0016

Environment

Endevor 19.0

Cause

The following messages originate due to the Common Components and Services - Feature Registration Service (FRS).

BC1PFRS1 Product Registration Error RC=0040 RS=0004
Appears if the Product Registration common service is not installed on this system.

BC1PFRS1 Product Registration Error RC=0016 RS=0016
Appears if the RGPD_BLK parameter list version is invalid or not supported.

Resolution

In order to fix this issue, review and apply the PTFs listed in UPGRAD solution LU04487.
Note the installation instructions for each PTF. It might require a LLA refresh and issuing SETPROG command.
