The NSX UI redirects to the standard NSX Login Page instead of redirecting to the vIDM Login Page

Issue/Introduction

In NSX version 4.2.1, when vIDM is configured for authentication, you observe the following login behavior:

1. Upon logging out and accessing the NSX UI URL, you are directed to the standard NSX login page instead of being redirected to the vIDM login page as seen in previous versions.
2. To access the vIDM login page, you need to manually click the "Sign in with vIDM" link at the bottom of the NSX login page.

This behavior differs from previous releases where you were automatically redirected to the vIDM login page upon accessing the NSX UI URL.

Environment

VMware NSX 4.2.1

Resolution

This is an expected behavior starting with VMware NSX 4.2.1. You must now manually click the "Sign in with vIDM" link on the NSX login page to be redirected to the vIDM login page.
