Issue/Introduction

 

Question: 

 

How to reset eHealth Web passwords to default passwords.

 

Environment:  

 

eHealth 6.3.2 on windows 2008

 

Answer: 

To reset the admin user's password to default password : 

1. Go to the $NH_HOME/web/webCfg directory. 

2. Open the initial passwd file (passwd.initial on Unix and passwd.initial.nt on Windows) in a text editor and copy the entire line for 
the admin user. For example, from the passwd.initial file, copy the following line: 

 

admin:O2bcc3cpW01WNZY6ZwnT1gAAAAA:eHealth administrator 

 

3. Open the $NH_HOME/web/webCfg/passwd file in a text editor and replace the existing line for the admin user with the line copied from the passwd.initial file, then save the passwd file.

 

4. The admin user should now be able to log into the web with the password: 

ehealth 

 

Note - If other users' passwords are lost, change the user's password from 

the web interface as the admin user:
