Mssql 14.5 vApp not working properly after Centos 8 nodes removed

Issue/Introduction

After Centos 8 nodes were removed from cluster and only Centos 9 nodes remained the nodes remaining are experiencing issues.

Symptoms:

• Deployment fails
• [ERROR] 21    Failed to populate the database for Identity Governance (error code: 21) in ca_vapp_deployment.log, ca_vapp_main.log and ca_vapp_webui.log
• The driver could not establish a secure connection to SQL Server by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption. Error: "PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target". ClientConnectionId:<string> in ca_vapp_main.log
• /opt/CA/wildfly-ig/standalone/configuration/standalone-full-ha-ca-gm.xml will show oracle connection string instead of mssl string
• IG and possibly IM and IP won't start.

Environment

Virtual Appliance 14.5, 14.5.1

Resolution

On vApp deployment screen (Hamburger menu - Setup - External database - Edit) make sure to click "Test All Connections" (you will need to retype passwords)

and then Apply at the bottom after test is complete to make sure db information are applied correctly to Centos 9 nodes of vApp.

Follow the prompts to restart.
