Issue/Introduction

WP trace files are getting created during startup of WPs. The error message below is present.

U00003515 UCUDB: UTF-8 encoding error in column '' at offset ''.
U00011801 Error in Server routine 'UCREPRTR', Server: 'AESYSTEM#WP005' AE system: 'AESYSTEM'.
U00003515 UCUDB: UTF-8 encoding error in column '' at offset ''.

 

Environment

Product: CA Automic Workload Automation - Automation Engine v24.x

Cause

There's a special character in the ucrsrv.ini file, which is only visible in the WP log shown below.

Resolution

Please do the following:

-Backup the ucrsrv.ini

-Remove the line which contains the special character

-Restart all WPs and CPs
