Now, Apache Software Foundation (ASF) does not provide any binary installer of Apache Web Server for Microsoft Windows. You can obtain a binary package from other binary distributions available on the Internet.
- Apache HTTP Server (httpd) version 2.2.31 (32-bit)
- OS: Windows Server 2008 R2
- Distribution: ApacheHaus
- Binary Installer: Apache 2.2.31?httpd-2.2.31-x86-r1.zip
When you configure Web Agent for such ASF Apache Web Server, the Web Agent Configuration Wizard does not recognize the installed Web Server. This prevents you from completing the configuration.
Microsoft Windows 2008
Microsoft Windows 2008 R2
Microsoft Windows 2012
Web Agent Configuration Wizard on Windows searches a registry key of an Apache Web Server normally. However, such binary distribution other than ASF does not create the registry key on the installation.
The workaround is to manually set the registry key and value after the installation. And run Web Agent Configuration Wizard again. You may refer the techdoc TEC496627.
In this case above, Web Agent (32-bit) for Windows will search the registry on configuration:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Apache Software Foundation\Apache]
If you obtained “httpd-2.2.31-x86-r1.zip” and install Apache Web Server under “C:\Apache22”, the registry should be as following.
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Apache Software Foundation\Apache\2.2.31]
