What is the meaning of the Shared Media Link parameters in Spectrum.

Issue/Introduction

We have noticed under the Shared Media Link model type, there are several parameters, but these are not defined anywhere.  Can you please provide a full explanation for each parameter?

Resolution

Maintenance Threshold percentage - 50% :

If more than 50% of connected neighbors of SML are in maintenance then the SML is put into maintenance.

 

Percentage of Neighbors Down :

 

It represents the % of connected down neighbors  ( down neighbors / Total neighbors ) *100

NOTE: To determine the down neighbors, both live links and non live links will be considered.

 

Contact Status Evaluation Delay : 5

 

Contact Status & Conditions are evaluated if any of the connected neighbors are down. The timer introduces a 5 sec(configurable) delay to avoid the frequent hiccups / instability.
