Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

  • after an upgrade to Aria Automation or Aria Automation Orchestrator to 8.17 or higher the connection to hosts on the internal network (not requiring a proxy connection) are failing
  • this can impact multiple different hosts such as vCenter or NSX configured in Aria Automation or Aria Automation Orchestrator
  • it can also impact configured hosts for any Aria Automation Orchestrator Plugin such as PowerShell or REST Host

Environment

Aria Automation 8.17 or higher

Aria Automation Orchestrator 8.17 or higher

Resolution

To resolve the issue please re-apply the proxy configuration:

  1. Take a note of the current proxy configuration & exclude lists:
    vracli proxy show
  2. Remove the custom proxy configuration:
    vracli proxy set-default
  3. Re-apply the proxy configuration with your exclude list:
    vracli proxy set ...

  4. Redeploy all services (* this will cause a downtime as services will be stopped until restarted):
    /opt/scripts/deploy.sh
