Issue/Introduction

vIDM's are failing to start after Migrating using HCX. It does not matter the migration type.

Environment

vIDM's

Aria appliances

Cause

vAPP configurations/options are not migrated over when using HCX. This is expected behavior as HCX does not support migrating VMware software appliances (including, but not limited to vCenter Server and NSX Manager).

    Resolution

    Before performing HCX migration - capture all the vAPP options/configs for each VM being migrated. 

    Apply the configs to the VM's manually after migration completes.
