Issue/Introduction

The new ITMS 8.7.3 release includes a new additional section called "PSInformation" with attributes containing information about PS (Package Servers).

This article explains how this works.

Environment

ITMS 8.7.3

Resolution

Some additional information about Package Server storage

In the scope of the features added in our ITMS 8.7.3 Release, the System Health: Package Server Health was introduced to include Package Server storage statistics that are now being sent to the SMP Server.

In the "summary" event, the Package Server now sends an additional section "PSInformation" with attributes containing information about the Package Server.

Example:

<PSInformation UNC="true" HTTP="true" HTTPS="true" diskSizeMB="243571" diskSizeUsedByPSMB="646" freeSpaceMB="61285"/>

This shows new SMA UI alerts related to the lack of free space on local primary storage. There are two types of alerts: Warning and Critical.

Warning appears if free space is less than 1 GB.

This can be set by the registry entry: "Disk Free Space Alert Warning (MBytes)".

Critical appears if free space is less than 500 MB.

This can be set by by the registry entry: "Disk Free Space Alert Critical (MBytes)". Could be 0 (zero), in that case the Package Delivery analogue value is taken into use.

The "situation resolved" event is shown if any of the error/critical alerts were present and the situation is now resolved.
