Data Repository Vertica install fails with S0110 soft limit error

Issue/Introduction

Running dr_install.sh to install Vertica on a DX NetOps Performance Management Data Repository cluster fails with the following error.

    FAIL (S0110): https://www.vertica.com/docs/23.4.x/HTML/index.htm#cshid=S0110
        FAIL(eS0110): Limits for user processes are not within specified limits:
        your soft limit 10240 < 192909.

The dr_validate.sh run prior to dr_install.sh shows it was successful.

The ulimit changes are in place according to the /etc/security/ulimit.conf file.

Despite this "ulimit -a" command returns a "max user processes" value of 10240.

Environment

All supported DX NetOps Performance Management releases

Cause

Server issue prevented proper configuration of ulimit values.

Resolution

System administrators resolved the issue preventing proper configuration of the ulimit values.

Once they were able to be properly set the issue is resolved with dr_install.sh running and completing without error.
