Issue/Introduction

Rabbitmq is NOT starting after an upgrade.

Smarts-rabbitmq is NOT starting after an upgrade from 10.1.12 to Smarts 2.4.

Environment

Smarts-10.1.x.

Smarts DM-2.4

TCSA-2.x

Cause

Crash dump is being written to: /var/log/rabbitmq/erl_crash.dump...done

Resolution

  1. Run "ps -ef | grep sm_rabbitmq" to check any active or defunct process running. Kill the process if running.
  2. Move the directory /opt/InCharge/SAM/smarts/local/repos/rmq to /opt/InCharge/SAM/smarts/local/repos/rmq_BKP
  3. Start smarts-rabbitmq service and check it is starting
  4. If you see any setup errors in /opt/InCharge/SAM/smarts/local/logs/setup_rabbitmq.log then restart the smarts-rabbitmq once again, KB for reference:https://broadcomcms-software.wolkenservicedesk.com/external/article?articleNumber=323801
