Issue/Introduction

There is no enablement package available for upgrade to Windows 11 24H2, so an ISO based upgrade is required. Starting from PMImport 7.4.1622 there are two bulletins available to facilitate this upgrade scenario:

• SBSP-Windows11_24H2
• SBSP-Windows11_25H2

Resolution

Use the usual process to upload manually downloaded updates to the policy to provide the required ISO files and then enable the advertisements and policy after this.

The update installation starts the Windows 11 upgrade process and this will require several computer restarts to complete.

Troubleshooting: 

• We propagate the error code that we get from the deployment engine to the Altiris Agent Log (and provide a description for some of the errors) so you can quickly check the possible upgrade reason there.
• In our testing we mostly dealt with 3247440384 (0xc1900200) meaning that Windows 11 24H2 compatibility requirements are not met.
• You can mount the ISO file located in the cache folder of the corresponding update on the problematic machine and execute Windows 11 upgrade in scan only mode (setup.exe /compat scanonly) to identify the specific problem - mostly it's non-compatible CPU and/or TPM 2.0 missing.
