Issue/Introduction

Extended patch management support for Windows Server 2012 is available for purchase as an add-on to IT Management Suite and Server Management Suite.  It uses a “private” data feed that includes both Windows Server 2012 extended security updates and all of the other updates included in the standard Windows patch management data feed.

Upon the expiration of a subscription to this service, a customer’s private data feed will be “frozen in time” and will no longer be updated with subsequently released Windows Server 2012 extended security updates or subsequently released updates for other products included in the standard data feed. 

 

At such time, customers may want to switch back to the standard data feed to be able to manage subsequently released updates."

Resolution

To switch back to the default feed, in the MetaData Import Task, open up the General section > click the Edit link for Import patch data from, and select the Default location radio button as shown here:
