ACL Permissions for Dashboard Viewer - standalone.jsp and Dashboard Viewer menu option

Issue/Introduction

Which ACL permissions control access to the following?:

1. ability to access custom dashboards via the standalone.jsp URL 
2. ability to select "Dashboard Viewer" from the menu options in Operator Console

Environment

DX UIM - 20.4 and Higher

Resolution

The following ACL permissions are responsible for this access:

1. "Custom Dashboards" - this gives access to view a dashboard if the specific standalone.jsp URL is used, but does not give access to "Dashboard Viewer" in the Operator Console menus.
2. "Dashboard Viewer" - this gives access to both the standalone.jsp dashboard URLs and the Dashboard Viewer menu option.

 

There is no option to give "Dashboard Viewer" without the standalone.jsp access, because launching dashboards through the menu option invokes the standalone.jsp URL, so the "Dashboard Viewer" option gives access to both automatically.
