SpanVA 1.15.3.160.0 - After Reboot from SpanVA GUI some services do not restart

Issue/Introduction

on SpanVA 1.15.3.160.0 - Settings / Reboot. Clicking Reboot stops the services, but SpanVA is not able to reboot to a fully functional state.

Intermittently, some services required for log processing may not restart.

Cause

SpanVA 1.15.3.160.0 - Settings / Reboot function has a defect - some services may not restart - causing logs to not get processed.

Resolution

Patch for SpanVA 1.15.3.166.0 targeted for end of Dec 2024.

In the interim if client clicks "Reboot", and some services fail to start, an interactive SSH session is required to manually restart those services.

Restarting the SpanVA VM from Hypervisor should not encounter the services failing to restart issue.

Interactive SSH session with Client and Support / Engineering required if Services failed to restart

Client PC needs to be able to SSH to the IP address of the SpanVA affected.
