Aria Operations 8.18.x UI long loading time and slow due to connection timeout error thrown by esp.js

Issue/Introduction

• When accessing Aria Operations UI you experience a long loading time and slowness with 'loading resources' displayed
• While inspecting using the Developer Tools (Right Click >> Inspect >> Network), a connection timeout error is shown in Console or Network tabs for esp.js JavaScript.

                         

Environment

Aria Operations 8.18.x

Cause

• In cases where Aria Operations environment is behind a firewall and the Product Survey option from user preferences is enabled, the feedback service will be unable to activate its respective JavaScript agent.
• This results in a connection timeout error being thrown while loading esp.js and slowness loading the UI.

Resolution

• This is a known issue and will be resolved in a future release.
• As a workaround, disable the Product Survey option by clicking on the user icon in top right of the UI and selecting Preferences

Note this must be completed on a per user basis and currently there is no way of disabling for all.
