gprestore metadata restore did not provide any details for non-fatal errors.

Issue/Introduction

Customer complained that gprestore logs did not provide any details surrounding non-fatal errors reported during gprestore. 

I am restoring the metadata to a new database and we are seeing non-fatal errors.

The message says to look in the /home/gpadmin/gpAdminLogs/gprestore_20241105.log, but there are no error messages there.

Where can I see the errors?

Environment

GPDB: 6.27.3

gpbackup/gprestore: 1.30.5 

Cause

The --verbose option must be used to see details surrounding the non-fatal errors reported during gprestore.

Resolution

Customer was advised to use the --verbose option whenever executing gpbackup or gprestore.
