Issue/Introduction

Failed to connect to the Introscope Enterprise Manager at localhost:5001,com.wily.isengard.postofficehub.link.net.DefaultSocketFactory

Environment

APM 24.1

Resolution

According to the Agent log, the agent is unable to find the profile and use the default setting of localhost to connect to EM.
 
[WARN] [IntroscopeAgent.Agent] No Agent profile found. Using system defaults for Introscope Enterprise Manager communication.
 

Need to add the following to the JVM argument like

-javaagent:/<wily-home>/Agent.jar -Dcom.wily.introscope.agentProfile=/<wily-home>/core/config/IntroscopeAgent.profile
