Issue/Introduction
In the VAMI cluster tab, you see an error message similar to "Node "iaas.example.com" has not been connected for more than 3037758 seconds.
In VAMI Cluster tab the above mentioned node(s) show longer "Last connected" period than expected (for IaaS nodes the default interval is 30 seconds).
After logging on the affected node(s) and opening the Services console the "vCloud Automation Center Management Agent" service is not running.
Starting the "vCloud Automation Center Management Agent" service fails with the following error:
"Windows could not start the VMware vCloud Automation Center Management Agent service on Local Computer. Error 14001: The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail."
Environment
vRealize Automation (vRA) 7.6
Resolution
Uninstall the Management Agent and re-install.
Log into the server using an account that has local administrator privileges.
Open the Control Panel and Select Add/Remove Programs then uninstall the vCloud Automation Center Management Agent.
Note: In some cases a reboot will be needed after un-installing and before the installing again.
Open a browser and go to the vRA install page to obtain the Installer: https://<vRA_FQDN>:5480/i
Click on the link for the Management Agent installer.
Save the File and run it.
Enter the appropriate details at the prompts to finish the install.
Verify that the "vCloud Automation Center Management Agent" service is present and started.
If the install fails and the service is not present, reboot the server and then run the installer again.
