Issue/Introduction

The following article describes the process to restore the xFlow APPS folder across disparate environments.  This may be used to re-create a given environment from an existing source.

Environment

Service Management 17.x

Resolution

  1. Stop xFlow services in the target (support) environment

  2. Rename APPS folder to something else (ie: APPS_default)

  3. Place the APPS folder from customer environment into xFlow Home folder (ie: C:\Program Files\CA\xFlow)

  4. In the restored APPS folder (C:\Program Files\CA\xFlow\APPS) remove the following:

    C:\Program Files\CA\xFlow\APPS\ServiceConfig.xml
    C:\Program Files\CA\xFlow\APPS\Services\incidentmicroservice-17.0.479\public\conf\casm.conf.js and casm.conf.do-not-change.js

If SSL is configured, remove the .txt file from each microservice folder C:\Program Files\CA\xFlow\APPS\Services\<incident-insights-collab-push-search>-microservice-17.0.479

If Catalog is integrated, remove the USMcertfile.key and USMcertfile.pem files from C:\Program Files\CA\xFlow\APPS\Services\

  5. Copy the files removed in step 4 from APPS_default to APPS folder

  6. Start Services.

Additional Information

The above procedure should be tested in a non-prod instance, with all backups taken prior, before attempting in production
