Issue/Introduction

Multiple users are getting TSS7220E 102 error messages for the Element Catalog and MCF files when they access Endevor. The error message shows their UserID needs Control access to these files.

Resolution

The reason for the error is that access to the Endevor controlled files (e.g. Element Catalog, MCF) is being done under the user credentials when it should be done under the ALTID credentials. The reason for that is that Endevor's SVC screening isn't in place, but SVC screening from Tone software for product DYNASTEP.

Have the site confirm if they are using Dynastep and ensure they have the following parameters added to the startup configuration for Dyna-Step's DYSSERV server:

DYNASPCL DISP=SHR,
COMPAT=ENDEVOR,                       <<== Add
FILE=STEPLIB,
FREEALL=NOFREEALL

This is an assembler macro, the options can be dynamically assembled at startup if the server is configured for that.

If this is not the issue, have the customer engage Tone Software support to advise further.
