Issue/Introduction

  • Image level backup of a Virtual machine will fail on Dell Power Protect Data Manager as LWD filter can’t be enable on it.
  • Backup of the Virtual machines with Dell Power Protect Data Manager feature enabled fails.
  • Below error snippets are found in the respective logs during the backup failure.

From the ESXi host:

Cause

This is a limitation at the Storage for Large file support at the Dell Storage/Powerscale Vendor.
