Unconditional Terminate or character-coded logoff received |
The logical unit has sent an unconditional Terminate request or a character-coded logoff that is a request for unconditional session-termination. No further communication on the session is possible. CLSDST must be issued.
If the VTAM Sense code has X'0000' for the first 2-bytes, then the RPL return-code and feedback code need to be reviewed.

TPXL0050 LOSTERM message showing up before TPXL0085 means that the virtual terminal (e.g. A01SX017) was terminated or DLINK'ed. There are many circumstances that can cause LOSTERM (lost terminal) for any active terminal. One of the common reasons is a close out the TN3270 emulator session. When the terminal is not available, VTAM RPL (Request Parameter List) sends out an unconditional termination request for clean-up. When the Users connect to the TPX again, VTAM will assign a new virtual terminal to the TPX for communication.
No actions are required. If ABENDS occur, further diagnosis is required.
