Issue/Introduction

Generate Virtual Service Tech Support failing with file size 0 due to whitespace in VS Name

Cause

  • In a 3 node cluster, when techsupport collection is requested, the status of the techsupport collection is sync'd to all 3 nodes as a file.
  • For VirtualService techsupport, name of the status file includes the VS name.
  • When the status file is copied to other controller nodes, space character is not escaped.
  • This causes the sync of status file to file and a runtime error is raised, aborting the techsupport collection.

Resolution

Fix Version

  • 31.1.1

Additional Information

Work Around:

  • Rename the virtual service without white space character and then collect techsupport.
