Do the IDMS utilities that invoke sorts support the zSort accelerator?

Resolution

There is no specific code in IDMS designed specifically to either use or not use zSort.

Furthermore, DFSORT itself suppresses the usage of the zSort accelerator whenever the sort is invoked internally/directly by a program, such as IDMSBCF and IDMSDBAN. Specifically, the zSort option is bypassed when SORT is called using E15 and/or E35 exits. Both IDMSBCF and IDMSDBAN call IDMSSORT which sets up the processing to use E15 and E35 exits.
