Out of memory error message when trying to perform a product upgrade

Issue/Introduction

When doing an in-place upgrade, getting an out of memory error message half-way through the upgrade process.

Exception: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError thrown from the UncaughtExceptionHandler in thread "main"

Cause

Install Anywhere installer java jvm is running out of heap space.

Resolution

Launch the Smarts installer with the -jvmxmx 1G flag

Example:

./Smarts-DM-SAM-2_4_0_0-linux64.bin -jvmxmx 1G
