Issue/Introduction

When uploading a new upgrade bundle, you receive an error that it fails.

Environment

Cause

One potential cause for the issue can be disk latency. You can check this by examining the iowait time on Platform node:

1. SSH into Platform 1 using the support user
2. Execute the following command:

ub
iostat -x

Look for the iowait column in the output. If the iowait value consistently exceeds 1.0%, it strongly indicates a storage latency issue."

Bad Storage Latency

 

No Latency issue

Resolution

Storage migrate the platform VMs to a new datastore and re run the upgrade process.
