Issue/Introduction

After upgrading to 23.3.13, when creating any event (that generates an alarm) by using CLI , The alarm is generated with Alarm ID = 0.

[spectrum@XXXXXXXXX vnmsh]$ ./create event type=0x10daa text="banana" mh=0x400250
Date       Time       Type        MHandle     MName             MTypeName
10/11/2024 18:30:45   0x10daa     0x400250    XXXXXXXXXXX     F5BigIPDev

When trying to destroy this alarm  with "destroy alarm -n aid=aidnumber(0)" command, it returns "invalid alarmid".

[spectrum@XXXXXXXXX vnmsh]$ ./destroy alarm -n aid=0
destroy alarm: aid=0: invalid alarm id!

Environment

Spectrum 23.3.13

Resolution

Engineering confirmed that the fix will be (tentatively) deployed in Spectrum 24.3.4 version, targeted to early 2025 (January or February).

By now, the workaround (in order to destroy/delete the alarm previously created) is to create manually the event that clears that alarm.
