This article addresses common issues related to tasks that become non responsive, or remain in the queue, or generate the error 'another operation is already in progress' We've included a couple of screenshots to illustrate these issues, but the steps outlined can be applied in any similar situation.
Sample 1:
During HA Manual Failover, we would see the following error in UI
Cannot force failover HA group ha-group-<ha-group-name>. Since another operation is already in progress.
Sample 2: During Force Sync of Appliances, we see the following error in UI
Cannot 'forceSync' appliance <HCX-appliance-name> since another operation is already in progress.
Sample 3: During the Network Extension process, we observe the following behavior: there are no errors, but the status of the task is listed as 'Queued Network Extension Request.
HCX 4.4 and later.
There can be various reasons for a task to get stuck. This KB article provides guidance on how to resolve the issue and get tasks running again.
It is recommended to reboot the source and target HCX Manager VM's to safely clear the queue/pending tasks.
