The "RECONFIGURE UPDATE" option is not available for failed vLCM or image-based cluster upgrades.

Issue/Introduction

If the upgrade process fails after the "Configure Update", the customer will see a "Configure Update" button instead of the "Reconfigure/Retry" button in the "Available Bundles" section of the Updates tab.

Environment

 5.2 and earlier.

Cause

The Reconfigure/Retry options were not included in the design because of the lack of API support and the challenges associated with implementation.

Resolution

Fixed in VCF 5.2.1

To workaround this issue in earlier releases:
Although the Reconfigure Update option is not available, users can still follow a similar process using the Configure Update flow. When a user retries a failed upgrade, it generates a new request and initiates the upgrade from the beginning. Therefore, the Configure Update is effectively equivalent to the Reconfigure Update
