Issue/Introduction

notes_server probe down and not taking the PID , port and address and given below error message

Controller: Max. restarts reached for probe 'notes_server64' (command = notes_server.exe) 

 

 

 

Environment

UIM 8. 51 & later

Notes_server 1.52 and later

Cause

Notes server probe is not creating the log in normal and debug mode.

Resolution

Follow the below step:-

== Upgraded the robot from 5.70 to 7.70

== Added the PATH variable under Setup-->Environment  (the location of notes.dll file )

== Restarted the controller and notes_server probe

== The notes_Server64 took port/pid/address and started.

Additional Information

The IBM Domino Server Monitoring (notes_server) probe monitors the performance of the IBM Domino server. The probe monitors server latency, server availability, server statistics variable values, and named views of the log.nsf file. The probe can generate alarm messages on statistics variables and log entries, and Quality of Service messages on availability and statistics variables
