Issue/Introduction

• Unable to view details of vApp and VM in Cloud Director UI and the following error is shown:

java.lang.NullPointerException

• The following error is displayed in the browser Developer Tool for the api call to display the vApp or VM: 

Status Code: 500 Server Error

VMware Cloud Director 10.5.1.1

Cause

This is caused from an issue on the VM Placement Policy which has a wrong entry in the policy details at Provider VDC level.
