Issue/Introduction

Aria Operations shows an alert "Network traffic is blocked for one or more ports" on a vSphere Distributed Switch object in Aria Operations.

Environment

Aria Operations 8.x

Resolution

Aria Operations UI:

  1. Open the Aria Operations UI.
  2. Confirm the value of the metric "Summary|Number of Blocked Ports" on the related vSphere Distributed Switch object in Aria Operations.

    Note: Any value greater than 0 indicates that this alert is valid.

vCenter UI:

  1. Open the vCenter UI and locate the vSphere Distributed Switch mentioned in the alert.
  2. Open the Ports tab and confirm that none of the ports are set to "Blocked".

If after following the steps above it still seems like this alert is invalid then please contact Broadcom support and provide a link to this KB article with the details above.
