Issue/Introduction

When editing the postgres pod to increase the size, it's not reflecting outside.

$ kubectl get pvc -n qa-helix-platform | grep postgres
pgdata-postgres-bmc-pg-ha-####  Bound    pvc-############  ##Gi  RWO  default-storage-class-1  ##d

Environment

VMware Cloud Director 10.x

CSI (Container Storage Interface) 1.4.1

VMware Container Service Extension

Cause

You will not able to increase the storage for pods because CSI driver( Container Storage Interface) 1.4.1 does not support Online and Offline Volume Expansion.

Resolution

Upgrade CSI (Container Storage Interface) Driver for VMware Cloud Director 1.6.0 to resize disks by performing online and offline volume expansion. To activate this feature, by using the Kubernetes Cluster Author role, set the allowVolumeExpansion field in storageClass to true.
