  • Resync of Service Mesh shows the error indicating "No host is reachable to any selected computes"

  • Migration Workload Mobility page does not show any VMs to migrate due to Virtual Machines not found in the container

Environment

HCX

Cause

The vSphere cluster that was mapped to the HCX Compute Profile is either changed or deleted.

Resolution

Reconfigure the existing compute profile to update the new cluster and resync the Service Mesh

    • To update the new cluster on the compute profile

Login to HCX Manager --> Interconnect --> Search for the Compute Profile --> Edit the Compute Profile --> Select the right cluster and cluster resources --> Ensure the correct Datastores are selected --> Proceed with the next settings and Finish

    • To resync the Service Mesh

Login to HCX Manager --> Interconnect --> Search for the Service Mesh --> Edit the Service Mesh --> Confirm the correct Compute Profile is selected --> Proceed with the next settings and Resync

NOTE :- The above steps will redeploy all the HCX Fleet Appliances. Therefore, it is advisable to ensure there are no pre-existing migration running and the task should be performed during off business hours as the extended L2 segment network on NE appliance will get impacted momentarily.
