Issue/Introduction

After upgrading Spectrum to 23.3.13, we noticed the NCM capture failing in the following situation:

- Device is placed in a Custom Device Family;
- The SSH commands include "enable password"

Environment

Spectrum  23.3.9 up to 24.3.1

Resolution

The problem is solved by applying the Spectrum_23.03.13.PTF_23.3.1302 patch.

Please contact the Broadcom Support Team to have it provided.

It has been fixed in DX NetOps Spectrum 24.3.2:

  • Symptom: After upgrading to 23.3.9 or higher, NCM Capture fails to work with commands for custom families (with Enable Password provided).
  • Resolution: With this fix, all captures now work properly with commands and scripts for custom device families.(DE154012, 35674611, 24.3.2)
