HCX Alarms "IF" conditions are missing on vCenter 8.0

Issue/Introduction

• From vCenter Server 8.0 GA  build 20519528 to 8.0 Update 1e build 24005165, HCX alarm rules that define the IF condition are not highlighted or listed as shown below
  
  
• Login to the vCenter GUI --> Click on vCenter --> Configure --> Alarm Definitions --> Search for any HCX alarms (HCX Connector Database upgrade Failed) 

 

• The IF condition com.vmware.hcx.cloud.database.upgrad is defined, but when the alarm is edited, the IF conditions is blank and there is no parameter defined.

 

 

 

Environment

HCX
Vcenter (8.0 GA  build 20519528 to vCenter 8.0 Update 1e build 24005165)

Cause

Issue is pertaining to vCenter 8.0.x version where the IF conditions are not highlighted.

Resolution

Upgrade the vCenter server to 8.0u2 or latest.

• Post upgrading the vCenter server to the latest versions, the IF conditions gets populated as shown below.
